"NO
LIMITS AT THE SOURCE"
From Punk Rope NYC, a weekly e-letter
Since 1982, The Source Unltd has been the "go to" spot
for East Villagers and others seeking a range of "copy" services including full
color printing, simple black and white copy jobs,
CD and DVD duplication, custom rubber stamps and business cards. Punk Rope Inc. uses the
Source for all of our printing needs.
They not only do an outstanding job, but they are also the nicest people you'll ever meet.
Okay, Satch is a dog,
but Santo and Margaret are people. And Santo is a kick-ass percussionist who frequently plays at local clubs.

This store is so adorable. Santos is friendly and inviting. Now my Favorite copy shop.
The reviews were correct. I come all the way from Brooklyn, and it's well worth the trip!

When was the last time anyone working at Kinko's SHOOK YOUR HAND and said
Thank You?????? Santo is awesome- he is on top of my jobs, emails me,
calls, this is the anti-Kinko's.
Can't beat the pricing. Can't beat the service.
I feel like I am an important customer. Cool people, cool vibe.
They've got everything magically crammed in the shop...
I was recommended to go to this shop by another friend, and so here I am
recommending it forward. Truly a gem in my neighborhood.
* Pros: GREAT PRICES, One on one service. NO MORE KINKO'S

This shop is now the only place I will go for my output needs and more.
I hate Kinkos. I love Santo's. Santo is great- He is in touch with me over phone and email
to
let me know when he received my job, when it is done
and his pricing is unbeatable and I hope they stay in my neighborhood as long as I am
there!!
Please support this business!!!! It is a gem!!!!!

This nice little shop has helpful staff. They do things like prints
(no job seems to be too small), lamination, copying from tape media to DVD and lots
of other things.
Screw you, Kinko's. FedEx Office. Whoever the hell they think they are.
These people are not shady. These people really care about how my day is going.
These people do not screw up my order and give me blank stares when I start complaining.
These people also set up community events for the E Village.
And the best part, I waited in line, gave them my flash drive,
waited for accurate print outs, paid--all within the span of SEVEN minutes.
Copies and printouts should be a painless process. The Source Unltd agrees.
It's on 9th betw 2nd and 1st, so a little bit of a walk.
But I came all the way from Brooklyn to see them, so I could avoid their mass market
competitor.
I have to say, I would come back again and again!

Seriously? It's tiny and cramped but it's the best copy shop I've been to in years.
They have good machines, that seem to be in great shape for quality printing. I needed
a print out from an 85 page double sided full color PDF file; it was done in a few
minutes.
The people are friendly, the proprietor is there, he's helpful & fast. They have
envelopes, ink,
blank paper, index cards, rubber stamps, tape, greeting cards by local artists.
It's an old school neighborhood place and it really beats the hell out of kinko's or
staples.
I actually had a little bit of my faith in humanity restored..
I used to work at copy shops when I was in college, so I know how bad (and good) they can
be

Also, for any of you living
in New York, I tried printing these with Kinkos, and found the quality poor.
I tried out a neighborhood copy shop called The Source Unltd, and not
only were they kind, but they
had a much better quality at a lower cost. I look forward to getting more things printed
with them.

The Source, Unltd. has been our organization's "in-house" printer since 1982!
Santo and Margaret have always done
a beautiful job with our journals, catalogs and reports. The best type of business
is a trusted neighbor like The Source. They are quick, inexpensive, reliable and friendly.

Highest marks for this copy
shop
by GregPie at Citysearch 06/02/08
I've been going to Santo at the Source for years. This place is a dream come true for
writers?
superb quality, low copy costs, fine attention to detail. You can e-mail your work to
Santo,
get the "overnight rate," and it'll be ready for you (and perfect) in the
morning. In addition to being so good
at what they do, they're really community-minded which we desperately need in the East
Village,
now that it's been Starbucksified. They've got a community events newsletter, a can
drop-off for the hungry,
and locally made cards and gifts. There's the friendly vibe of a small town in there,
though they've got the
high-quality of a competitive city, the perfect combo. Go there, even if it's a hike. Y
our days of Kinko's rage are over. My only complaint is that they
can't clone themselves and set-up shop next to my writer friends all over the country.

it's on my block,
so the convenience can't be beat , but more importantly it is an excellent shop .
It's a sma l l space incredibly well stocked

Excellent choice for your
printing needs
by Iris Winter at Insider Pages 06/12/08
We use Santos and Margaret for all our copying needs. Such nice people that go completely
out of their way for you.
Found them online and decided to give them a try. Could not be happier with the service
they provide. Last of a dying breed.
Best copy shop in the East Village
by MandelandLydon at Citysearch 05/30/08
The Source is a storefront copy and
stationery shop in the heart of the East Village
(East 9th between 1st and Second Aves) where downtown musicians, actors, playwrights,
poets,
journalists, bloggers, video makers, and restaurant owners go to get their paperwork
(and CD/DVD duping) done expertly, quickly, and at reasonable prices. But the big plus is
the friendly spirit of the
place set by owners Santo and Margaret and their lovable dog, Satch.
People go into the Source to get their work done, then stay to talk about art, music,
politics,
and exchange business cards--countless guitarists have found their drummers, playwrights
their leading ladies,
while getting their resumes made up at the Source.
* Pros: Friendly neighborhood feeling, artists' meeting place
* Cons: none
